Frozen Tears

Smooth, glittering white
                                                                                                    Dances through the air
                                                                    Cold,
                Melting at a touch

Song that captures the imagination
And the heart

Brown curls collect snowflakes
                                                               As the flakes in the wind quiver
Waltzing with her voice

Her beauty shines down
                                         And the light fades
To follow when she leaves

                                                     Untouched                        white

                      Crumples under black boots
As a broken heart treads

Towards a shining beacon of color
                                                                                                 In this black and white world

A red rose lies upon the snow

Soft petals caress white skin
      They embrace slow, glistening tears
                                                                                             Curled fists surround them
                               Slowly crushing the red heart
Hands open and

Frigid air rushes in
Crushed drops of crimson
Fall onto the undisturbed snow
